How does DNA affect the Bullmastiff puppy buyer?  It can confirm who the true parents of your Bullmastiff puppy are - especially if you are suspicious about your puppy's pedigree.  It can help researchers find a cure or treatment for a defective gene within the Bullmastiff breed.  Ask the Bullmastiff breeder(s) you are interviewing - are they participating in genetic testing of their Bullmastiffs?  Are their Bullmastiffs' DNA on file with a DNA Certification/Registration Authority?

This is a beautiful representation of a brindle Bullmastiff puppy out of the kennel "The Dog of Orlok". Rescued by Mickey Mullen of Florida Bullmastiff Rescue, this is Bumper in his new home and on his new couch. Alex at 13 weeks old, contributed by Chris Lezotte and Alan Kalter of HappyLegs Bullmastiffs. Although a bit "off color" from the traditional Bullmastiff standard, these Dudley Bullmastiffs still make wonderful pets!
